L.A. Turbine, celebrating ten years of turboexpander design and service, has been awarded a several million-dollar contract for two magnetic-bearing expander-compressor units by one of the largest equipment procurement company’s in Asia. The machines are destined for the central processing facilities of a gas separation plant located in the Middle East and will contribute to the plant’s ability to handle a flow range of 200MMSCFD.
The magnetic-bearing turboexpanders will be designed, manufactured and tested in L.A. Turbine’s Valencia, California headquarters with shipment scheduled for first quarter, 2014. L.A. Turbine’s field service team will provide support for the commissioning of the units.
