The September issue of Diesel & Gas Turbine Worldwide profiles L.A. Turbine’s aftermarket services approach in an article titled, “Redesign, Retrofit, Repair–Solution-based aftermarket approach increasing international exposure, partnerships and projects.” The article, found on pages 12-13, discusses the company’s turboexpander engineering competence and diagnostic approach within the aftermarket and new equipment areas, and speaks to its global reach to Africa and recently, the Middle East.
President Danny Mascari is quoted, “Our core competence is really the engineering–we invest quite a bit in the software and personnel so we can stay ahead of the innovation curve for turboexpanders.” L.A. Turbine’s aftermarket expertise in redesign and retrofit capabilities is further acknowledged, “We often perform upgrades on the old machines, which were built in a time when there were certain gas compositions, and pressure and temperature standards,” said Idris Kebir, director of Applications and Project Management, L.A. Turbine. “Those have changed since, and we have the technology, expertise and experience here to adjust or retrofit the machines to fit the new conditions.”
Customer and service responsiveness is also very important to the company as Mascari is later quoted, “One of our tenants is that we will have our service team on-site within 24 hours; in this industry, that’s not fast enough for the customer.”…”So we are taking a hard look at where we need our service bases so we can provide the quality and level of timeliness our customers are accustomed to.”
