L.A. Turbine’s Magnetic Bearing Team is an experienced and field proven supplier of Magnetic Bearing diagnosis, repair and maintenance with more than 50 years accumulated experience in the supply and product support in this highly demanding application.

Current members of the L.A. Turbine Team, were instrumental in the development, manufacture and commissioning of the first turboexpanders with Active Magnetic Bearings in the 1990’s. The success of that project lead to the proliferation of AMB type turboexpanders throughout the world.

L.A. Turbine is recognized for its ability to understand the technology used in both the bearing and control system technologies.

Magnetic Bearing technology has changed greatly since the first AMB Turboexpanders. Digital control systems have replaced the Analog control systems on new equipment and customers are requesting upgrades to the Digital technology without sacrificing their existing bearings.

L.A. Turbine, in conjunction with the bearing manufacturers, offers upgrades and retrofits to existing equipment that improve control, reduce maintenance costs and enhance product recovery.

L.A. Turbine has rapidly become the "de facto" Magnetic Bearings Service company for many of the Oil & Gas companies in the World today.
